They may not be as trendy or as sleek as the pointy black pump, but Converse are classic and just as chic. While some of my clients will ask me for outfit ideas they can wear with their Converse, others mention that they think they look cute on me, but they’re not sure it fits with their style. I’d like to challenge that, if you will. But, first things first, a little housekeeping.
When I was helping a client in Nordstrom we got into the discussion on how to clean your Converse. As you can see, my Converse were in bad shape. We started discussing it with the nice girl helping us, who asked her manager. After a discussion, we all decided that the washing machine was probably the best. I threw mine in and here’s the before and after. I didn’t use bleach, just regular ole tide on the regular ole cycle. Viola! They look so fresh and so clean, clean.
Here the Converse go classic. There’s nothing more classic than jeans and a blazer/trench.

Here the converse go edgy with a classic twist. And apparently if you own Ray-Ban Wayfarers you are already half way there, so Converse are a must for you -ha!
Here the Converse go comfy. If you have a sweatshirt, it seems the Converse are just calling to be paired with it -ha!
Here the Converse themselves get colorful! So fun and, of course, Olivia Palermo looks so stylin’ as she pairs them with her leather leggings! Wait, I have a pair of those…
This picture is for my sister, who says she’s too short and flat footed to wear Converse. Well, here you go E. Here’s Reese Witherspoon, who is not really tall, who may or may not be flat footed, but who cares? She looks darling and casual and comfortable. You can do it! You have great defined legs like hers too, so even better!

First of all, I love your blog. I don’t have my own Chucks, but I was thinking my next shoe would be that or Sperry’s (I like the Angelfish linen/oat boat shoe). Do you have any Sperry’s? I feel like they would fit your style, but I don’t think I’ve seen you in them. Your thoughts?

I’ve also hear a Mr Clean Magic Eraser helps to get the rubber nice and white!
