Fun Outfits

Can you believe I’m still on the first day of the conference and I’m on my second outfit?!?! Truth be told, I had 3 outfit changes. This might sound pretty ridiculous, until I tell you that there were times growing up when the entire family was waiting to go to church in the Suburban, while I was changing into my final outfit. What can I say, I really enjoy clothes! But hopefully I don’t make people wait on me anymore -ha! #2014goal

Naturally, I wanted to wear something fun to the Kate Spade Happy Hour. My original outfit was going to be the black top, white jeans and the Kate Spade earrings I wore for my black tie event.

But then I was putzing around the hotel room and picked up this fabulous kimono we received from River Island. I threw it on over what I was wearing, and it made the outfit and my night! It was so fun because it blew in the breeze and made me feel like I was on a boat – ha! I’ve never given much thought to kimonos before, but I love them! I’ve already used it as a bathing suit cover up. It’s such a versatile piece!

Let me just say, Kate Spade knows how to throw a party. But, of course, you would expect no less! They had all these fun glasses and masks as props for the photo booth, and they had ad lib pamphlets on the tables to do with your pals. The pink peonies on the table were flown in from New York that morning! Love this fun picture with my roomie and photographer for the night.

We went out for Mexican food that night, and this is what I wore. It’s basically just my travel outfit, but with a different top.

I had to include these pictures. I saw him coming down the hall in the middle of my photo shoot, and I had to have a little fun. He was a great sport, too!
