Swimsuit For Your Attribute!

It’s here, the dreaded swimsuit season -ha! But with it comes a whole lot of fun if we can just be a little nicer to ourselves and tell that small voice in our heads to be quiet, damn it! (Yes, that’s the first time I’ve used a bad word on this blog, but that’s how passionately I feel about that little voice. It needs to be told to be quiet.) Here’s the thing, we may not have the bodies we used to, but it’s all we’ve got. Instead of allowing that little voice to eat away at our summer fun, let’s cheer ourselves on, own these bodies, and buy a great swimsuit that makes us feel fabulous! After all, you know we’ll be looking at pictures 10 years from now and think, “Man, I should have been nicer to myself.”

I decided to categorize the swimsuits by “attributes” (yup, that’s my glass half full approach to the word “issue”). You may roll your eyes, but we must correct that voice. Tell it, attribute NOT issue. And, just in case you are wondering if I have an attribute I worry about or a little voice I hear, you can read about it here.

Oh, and most of these swimsuits could be for multiple attributes, so I have added succinct side notes. 🙂

Attribute: Small Chest

1/ 2/ 3/ 4/ 5

Clearly I like the ruffle idea for a small chest this year -ha! Well, why not?! It’s super cute and totally on trend! The ruffle adds a little fluff to the chest area. Side note: 5 would also look good on someone with a bottom.

Attribute: Big Chest

1/ 2/ 3/ 4/ 5

All of these swimsuits come in a D cup or would support a D cup. Support is the key with big chests. Otherwise they can make you look bigger or over take you. Side note: 1 would also look good on someone with a long torso, and 2, 4, 5 would be good options for someone wanting more tummy support.

Attribute: Tummy

1/ 2/ 3/ 4/ 5

What can I say? The grecian drape and the ruffle are in -ha! But it’s a good thing, because it’s the perfect way to cover the tummy attribute. Side note: 3 has a really cute cut out detail you all have to see. All of these suits would look good on someone with a bottom.

Attribute: Bottom

1/ 2/ 3/ 4/ 5

If your bottom is your attribute, it’s important that you try to elongate. That’s why all of these have a deep v. If you feel uncomfortable with the v, order the swimsuit and try it on for your husband, boyfriend, or bestie (not your mom), and see what they say. I know they will say you look great and you can do it! Side note: All would look good with a small chest and 4 would look good with a tummy.

Do you want new hair growth in your eyebrows? I ha Do you want new hair growth in your eyebrows? I have a trick, and no, it’s not an expensive hair growth serum! It’s Castor Oil, so it’s all natural and inexpensive. Apparently, it’s been used for thousands of years dating back to ancient Egypt. Ok, and I use it on my eyelashes, too, but I’m doing that at my own risk. I don’t want to recommend this practice, since I don’t really know what it’s going to do to my eyesight. I know, call me crazy- it’s fine.

Thanks to my friend, Michelle for telling me about this little trick!

Comment “oil” for links to both the Castor Oil and the wands I use. #beautytips #beauty #eyebrows #beautyproducts
I attended a funeral today of a friend who died of I attended a funeral today of a friend who died of mental illness. If my friend is strong enough to stand at the podium and talk about her husband and the hope her family has in the midst of their darkest days, then I want to honor both of them by telling you about my struggle with mental illness. My friend mentioned that many of her husband’s closest friends had no idea that he’d been struggling with mental illness for 3 years, and I realized that many of you, and probably some of my closest friends don’t know how long and hard my struggle has been with mental illness. For me my mental illness wasn’t the kind where I couldn’t get out of bed or out of the house, which would make it hard to tell I was struggling. For me it looked more like battling through the day and struggling with my own self condemning thoughts and emotions - shaming myself for being happy one minute and sad the next, or for not being happy all the time, looking around at all my blessings and not feeling gratitude, which made me feel like there was something wrong with me. It was hard to get excited. On some days I walked around feeling like a scared puppy in a big bad world with my emotions right at the surface. For me, my faith is very important to me, and I knew this was not the life God had for me, so I started to pray for help and deliverance. God started to lead me to help in a whole bunch of different forms, counselors, health practitioners, friends, medicine, trauma therapy, EMDR, books, excercise, the support of family, and most importantly, Christ and His word.
For me, it was over a 10 year battle probably because I was overcoming a lot of trauma being raised by an alcoholic mom. But for you it may be longer or shorter or this isn’t something you struggle with at all (hallelujah!). If you do, your emotions and your struggle may be different. But I’m here to say, you’re loved. You are loved by God and by so many of the people around you. Don’t give up. Dig in and fight the battle that’s happening in your mind. Fight it like you would if you had cancer. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalillness #mentalhealthmatters

Takes me right back to my middle school days, and I’m not sad about it! And yes, that’s what my closet looked like after trying to figure those outfits out, but it was fun! 🤷🏼‍♀️

How to get the cuffed denim look without buying a How to get the cuffed denim look without buying a new pair of jeans! You don’t need to buy a new pair of jeans to get the cuffed denim look! Just grab a pair of straight leg jeans from your closet, cuff them to be about an inch or 2 above the top of your ankle bone and use the nifty little gadget from this tutorial. Viola! Plus, the cuffed denim length makes it a heck of a lot easier to wear most of the shoes in your closet! #winning
