1. Journals – These are perfect for all the girls in your life. Most of my journals were gifts and I love the personal initials on the front!

2. Cool Band Aids – Best stocking stuffer EVER!

3. Mint Julep cup – It might be for a cocktail, but who wouldn’t love to put flowers or pencils in a monogramed mint julep cup? I think any girl would love this gift.

4. Water Bottle – This would be a perfect gift for any girl in your life. I would be ecstatic if I received this for Christmas. Maybe it would help me drink more water! Ha!

5. Dry Shampoo – This is my very favorite dry shampoo and the perfect sussie to give to your besties, sister, cousin, etc. It’s also a great stocking stuffer!

6. Agate Ornament – How awesome is this ornament?! I can see it as the perfect little something for a co-worker or friend. It could even be the perfect add-on to a present.  Shoot, I’d like to wear it.

7. Coffee Mug – The best thing about this mug is that it hold 21oz. Not to mention, the buffalo plaid design and gold rim would make one look super chic while having a cup of joe, even if you have no make up on -ha!

8. Earrings – Can you believe these earring are only 25?!?! If you have a fashoinista girl your looking for, these are perfect.

9. Twig Plastic Flatware – The perfect hostess gift EVER. How exciting would it be to bring these to the hostess and marvel over the fact that they are plastic?!

I have to add one more- The Pioneer Woman’s cookbook. I want this cookbook so bad.  My cousin showed it to me over Thanksgiving. It has step-by-step pictures, so you can tell if you’re doing the recipe right! And it has the best sweet potato recipe I’ve ever tasted.

1. Glass Tumblers – These are so pretty and fun. If you have someone you just don’t know what to get, I think these are a very safe bet.

3. Marble Coasters – If you’ve ever put your glass down on marble, then you know these would make great, super chic, absorbing coasters. A perfect gift for a friend who loves interiors.

4. Square earrings – If you have someone who is impossible to shop for, these are perfect! They are a great, everyday earring, sure to please anyone. And Nadri’s CZs really sparkle!

5. Cookbook – I have every single one of her cookbooks.  I love them all. If you have someone who likes to cook in the family, this is the gift for them!

6. Socks – If I received these socks, I’d put them on right away. They are a fun gift, because you wouldn’t normally purchase such a fun item for yourself, but if someone gives it to you, then yay!

2. Gold Bar Necklace – I love this simple necklace.  It’s perfect for someone who likes jewelry, but likes to keep it simple.

3. Fair Isle Leggings – These are a perfect gift because you don’t usually buy novelty items, like fair isle leggings, for yourself. That’s what makes them such a cute gift!

6. Canvas Pouch – I can see this being used for a variety of things- to hold make up, to hold toiletries, to hold diapers and wipes… I think this gift would make any girl happy, no matter the age.

7.  Simple Gold Ring – If you have a fashionist in the family, look no further.  She’ll love this ring. I want this ring.

There are so many talented artists/designers in this world, and to be able to experience and be fully immersed in so many of their creations in one place was a really neat experience!! I highly recommend, if you have not been. Their show in Dallas is open through November 13th.

Do you want new hair growth in your eyebrows? I ha Do you want new hair growth in your eyebrows? I have a trick, and no, it’s not an expensive hair growth serum! It’s Castor Oil, so it’s all natural and inexpensive. Apparently, it’s been used for thousands of years dating back to ancient Egypt. Ok, and I use it on my eyelashes, too, but I’m doing that at my own risk. I don’t want to recommend this practice, since I don’t really know what it’s going to do to my eyesight. I know, call me crazy- it’s fine.

Thanks to my friend, Michelle for telling me about this little trick!

Comment “oil” for links to both the Castor Oil and the wands I use. #beautytips #beauty #eyebrows #beautyproducts
I attended a funeral today of a friend who died of I attended a funeral today of a friend who died of mental illness. If my friend is strong enough to stand at the podium and talk about her husband and the hope her family has in the midst of their darkest days, then I want to honor both of them by telling you about my struggle with mental illness. My friend mentioned that many of her husband’s closest friends had no idea that he’d been struggling with mental illness for 3 years, and I realized that many of you, and probably some of my closest friends don’t know how long and hard my struggle has been with mental illness. For me my mental illness wasn’t the kind where I couldn’t get out of bed or out of the house, which would make it hard to tell I was struggling. For me it looked more like battling through the day and struggling with my own self condemning thoughts and emotions - shaming myself for being happy one minute and sad the next, or for not being happy all the time, looking around at all my blessings and not feeling gratitude, which made me feel like there was something wrong with me. It was hard to get excited. On some days I walked around feeling like a scared puppy in a big bad world with my emotions right at the surface. For me, my faith is very important to me, and I knew this was not the life God had for me, so I started to pray for help and deliverance. God started to lead me to help in a whole bunch of different forms, counselors, health practitioners, friends, medicine, trauma therapy, EMDR, books, excercise, the support of family, and most importantly, Christ and His word.
For me, it was over a 10 year battle probably because I was overcoming a lot of trauma being raised by an alcoholic mom. But for you it may be longer or shorter or this isn’t something you struggle with at all (hallelujah!). If you do, your emotions and your struggle may be different. But I’m here to say, you’re loved. You are loved by God and by so many of the people around you. Don’t give up. Dig in and fight the battle that’s happening in your mind. Fight it like you would if you had cancer. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalillness #mentalhealthmatters
I had fun taking this outfit from day to night by I had fun taking this outfit from day to night by swapping out my denim skirt for my leather skirt!! I’m also totally digging socks with loafers. Takes me right back to my middle school days, and I’m not sad about it! And yes, that’s what my closet looked like after trying to figure those outfits out, but it was fun! 🤷🏼‍♀️

How to get the cuffed denim look without buying a How to get the cuffed denim look without buying a new pair of jeans! You don’t need to buy a new pair of jeans to get the cuffed denim look! Just grab a pair of straight leg jeans from your closet, cuff them to be about an inch or 2 above the top of your ankle bone and use the nifty little gadget from this tutorial. Viola! Plus, the cuffed denim length makes it a heck of a lot easier to wear most of the shoes in your closet! #winning
