Oh my goodness, summer is here in Houston! It is so hot! While my sister was taking pictures, I could feel the sweat dripping down my back. Is that t.m.i. (too much information)?!? -ha! All of that to say, sometimes you just want to wear a cotton dress to run around in. I know I’m not alone, because most of my clients have an entire cotton dress section in their closet. They’re just easy and comfortable.
And I love wearing my summer dresses with tennis shoes. I mentioned this recently at a talk, and I’ve received a few questions on if it was OK to do- my answer is YES! It’s absolutely OK! In fact, it is more than OK- it’s super chic! It works here, because the dress is super casual (cotton) and I kept my accessories casual, too.
I think friendship bracelets might be my new favorite accessory of the season! I’m adding it to my short list of the ten things I’m loving right now. They are the perfect accessory for the summer- they match everything, and you can get them wet! A practical accessory? Yup, I’m in. My husband brought me a few back from his trip to Nicaragua, but Etsy has some really great ones. Just type “friendship bracelets” into the search.

Oh, and I’m also loving my new big $7 hoops from Target. They are perfect, because I don’t care if they get wet and the big hoop makes a fun statement -ha!
