I’m really into delayed gratification this year (thanks to a Supersoul Sunday episode with Meagan Good and Devon Franklin). These days, things are so instant. I miss the excitement of the anticipation! There’s something to be said for the wait!! I think my husband has known this for awhile. Since I can remember, my husband has had me wrap items he purchased for himself and put them under the tree. I didn’t get it! Why am I wasting my time wrapping these items when he already knows what they are?!?! Ha! Well, wouldn’t you know, this year I’m having him do the same thing, and I’m super excited about it!
What you’ll find on my list are things I wouldn’t normally purchase for myself. Luxury items, if you will. It’s not necessarily the price that holds me back from purchasing, but it’s usually because my practical nature finds that I don’t NEED them.
I’ve actually already ordered these for my husband to give me, but I won’t even open the box when they arrive! I want to see them for the first time on Christmas morning! I’m giddy with anticipation! Ha! I would not typically buy these for myself. We have no need for snow boots in Houston, so I would wear these probably once a year when, and if, we go somewhere cold with snow. Well, we are headed to Colorado for spring break, so I know I’ll get to wear them at least once this year. Because of this, I consider these boots a luxury. I definitely don’t NEED them, but they are the cutest Sorel boots I have ever seen, so I WANT them!
I love to dress ladies, and I love to dress tables! This is also a complete luxury item. I have fancy flatware already but not a gold set! Ha! My cousin had this flatware at Thanksgiving. She had done lots of research and thought this was the best value. I’m in!
I recently ordered myself pajamas. I absolutely do NOT need another pair of pajamas, but I am crazy for gingham! CRAZY for it! I love the white piping, too!
They make gingham sheets, too!
I just love UGGs! I have two pairs of boots by UGG, and I wear the really old ones around like slippers. The only bad thing is they can be a bit cumbersome when you want to cozy up on the couch. You know what I’m saying?
Currently I have a wooden cutting board next to the sink. I use it a ton! Way more than I ever thought I would. Then I started noticing a few of my friends have marble cutting boards next their sinks- genius! I did my research, and this is the one I want because it’s not 2 feet wide. It’s the perfect size for my counter top.
Clearly this is a luxury item. The practical side of me wants to go with the black version, but they’re not as cute!!!!
Wouldn’t you know, since I wrote this post a few more things have been added to my wishlist! Click on the pictures below:

Oh my gosh that flatware matches my china perfectly! Talk about anticipation, looks like I’ll be waiting on that one for next year. Thanks for sharing. That look and price are totally doable. Merry Christmas!
