I’m trying something new. When I asked what you wanted to see in 2020, you all said more try-on sessions! I uploaded this session to my stories last week, and I thought it would be a good idea to have all of this information on the blog, too!
So, here is some of what I found while shopping recently!
This blouse from Madewell is just darling! It would be great for date-night or girl’s night, and it can be dressed up or down!
First up is this sweater. First of all, it’s not itchy, which to me makes a sweater. I am all for a non-itchy sweater. I also like this sweater because you can wear it with black or blue jeans, with skirts, and you can wear it to work, casually, or dress it up. And, it has every color imaginable, so what doesn’t go with it?!
OK, I am super excited about this dress. If I was shopping for any client, this dress would work. It would be so flattering on so many body types. Here’s why- it has elastic around the hips, but when it gets to the thighs it’s a skirt and when it gets to the tummy, it blouses out. This is ideal for so many body types. While I love how cute this dress is, what I really love about this dress is that it will be so flattering on so many different people. There’s one thing to keep in mind about this dress. It’s black with gold glitter threads running through it, and they are a little itchy around your neck and wrist.
I love this sweater, and I wore it three days in a row right after I purchased it! This sweater was on discount in the store, and then I got it an additional 50% off the discounted price. I don’t know why, but it isn’t on sale online. I’m not sure why it was so on sale for me, but I don’t care because it’s really cute- ha! But you might want to wait until it goes on sale because it’s a little much.
This dress and the one below are more for transition periods. And by that, I mean when you are pregnant or just finished being pregnant, etc. That is because, unfortunately, if you don’t have a waistline in a dress, you may get the dreaded question “are you pregnant” when you’re not. But there are ways around that if you absolutely love these dresses…
You definitely want to try and elongate. You can also tie a jacket around your waist or give yourself a waistline by putting a jacket on top and cinching it. There are ways to make these dresses work, but I just wanted y’all to be aware that they may need a little extra styling!
There’s this time of day when I come home from work and it’s not time for pjs (like 3:00), but I want to be comfortable. This is the perfect thing to put on! I usually just wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt, but my sister always wears cute loungewear sets, like this. So, when she saw me in this, she said I had to get it! This is something different for me because I don’t usually spend money on loungewear, but I decided to challenge myself a little bit.
I’m passionate about what I recommend to clients and you all because I want the pieces to have lasting power in your wardrobe and not be a waste. And I also want you to know how to wear it! I hope you enjoyed this try-on session!

I have 4 kids…3 go to school and the other is 2 years old and stays home with me. I am in and out of the car all day, at home, or popping in quickly to a store. My question is, do you have any suggestions for comfortable clothes that still look cute? Would you wear something like the camo loungewear in your pic? Thanks!

Hi Kristin! Great question! I remember those days like they were yesterday. I really love the idea of legging outfits for you. They’re comfortable and appropriate for most errands. For instance, just yesterday I wore my Commando faux leather leggings, with a white t-shirt that covered the front, and a sweater on top. I paired this outfit with a pair of sneakers. I’ll try to post this outfit at the top of the blog or on IG soon for inspo. I hope this helps!
