Anyone looking for a fit and flare dress? This dress is so flattering and I love the puff sleeve! Here’s how I would style it:
Looking at this picture of us all dressed up reminds me of a quote I read this morning in our book club book, “She’s Still There”. @chrystalhurst said, “{It’s} easier to settle for the worst than to hope for His best.” That hit me square between the eyes.
How many times have I settled for the worst in my mind? Sometimes it just takes too much work and effort to believe in hope. It’s so much easier to let my mind spin on the what ifs, or the same negative thoughts, or to catastrophize. It’s hard work to remember God’s promises and get out of bed, get dressed, go to the movie, go to the nail salon, go to the fancy dinner, and enjoy those little things in life. Especially when you’re in the midst of doing really HARD things, like my cousin is…
My cousin, Kellison, just wrapped up doing radiation 2 times a day for 22 days at M.D. Anderson here in Houston. Thank you all for your prayers for her over the last couple of months. As a care package, my friends put together a list of what to do and see while she’s in Houston (along with money and some gift cards). I thought you all might like to see the Houston Favorites List my friends came up with in case there are any gems you haven’t checked out or to pass along to people who are visiting Houston! You can find the post with the Favorites List HERE.
Speaking of our book club, “She’s Still There”, I shared my Part 4 thoughts HERE yesterday if you’re reading along with me! I’d love to hear what you thought too!
On a light hearted note, I came across this video this week and couldn’t resist sharing! I think we can all relate to this during a family photo session! ha!
