Happy Weekend my friends! I’m picturing you curled up somewhere reading this. Especially since I had this post delivered to your inbox in the wee hours of the morning. Well, good morning. Your sleepy face is making me smile.
I’m likely going to wake up thinking through the various events I have today and deciding whether it’s going to be a good or bad day. Wait, what?! Yes, I actually do this. It’s not a pleasant way to wake up. My thoughts and my feeling are my own worst enemy, which is why I’m listening to this book in the car to help me not do this anymore! So scratch that, it’s going to be a great day! Ha! Tell me I’m not the only one…
Want to see the outfit my son said I looked like a farmer in but also received 4 separate compliments on in one day? That just goes to show you, wear what you like. There’s always going to be someone who doesn’t like it.
I’ve had fun helping a few teens recently find dresses. The minidress is what’s “in” right now, and it’s a tricky look (pun intended -ha!). Most of these dresses are pretty cheap looking and made of cheap material, but I’ve had great luck shopping the sale dresses by Alice and Olivia and Cinq a Sept (at least the material isn’t cheap!). I sort by price, low to high.
I’m a little obsessed with this Amazon purchase. I’m tired of smelling under my arms, but I won’t give up my natural deodorant because of my family history. I’ve started using this, and I’ve honestly noticed a difference! Oh, hallelujah!
I’ve been wanting to tell y’all about this dress from Amazon for weeks, but I haven’t had the time! My friend came over wearing this dress, and I inquired about it immediately! It’s one of those easy dresses you can throw on to go into the office, or wear at home when you have a Zoom, or to run errands, or dress it up for back to school stuff. Stylist tip: elongate with a platform or give yourself a waistline with a cropped jacket or belt.
One last thing, I’m starting a new series called “Stylist Favorites”. The title feels a little pompous, but I don’t know what else to call it. Anyway, I want to start sharing my tried and true stylist type recommendations with you all. Some of them aren’t very exciting like, my favorite sweater shaver and my favorite strapless bra, but it’s still such valuable, useful information that I have to share! So here’s my first one I can’t help but share!
Really?! A travel backpack? Yes! You’d be surprised how much easier travel gets when you have a bag that functions really well. It’s light weight, soft and easy to clean (I even washed mine in the washing machine). It’s slick so it slides under the seat perfectly. The outside pocket allows for you to easily access your boarding pass and phone. And it’s huge inside! I fit my purse and then some inside! I lent it to my friend and she even texted me about how great it is!
I’m looking forward to watching the US Open this weekend! What are you up to?
Thanks for letting me be in your inbox!
