Camera Roll- Conference Edition

Just in case the last two posts (here and here) and the conference pictures on Instagram (#rsthecon) have left the wrong impression about my reality, I’d like to take this time to clear up any confusion. Here’s the conference from my point of view (aka camera roll).

The first stop on the way to the conference was for lunch at our favorite gas station! For those of you who don’t know Bu-cee’s, it’s an extremely popular gas station that is loved by all because of their clean bathrooms. If you are ever in the Houston/Dallas area, you must stop. I’m serious. So what did we get for lunch at Bu-cee’s?

Sausage on a stick, of course! Yup, it’s freaking delicious! It reminds me of my childhood days at the Rodeo.

In case you thought I knew exactly what to wear while I was there, let me show you my luggage. Mine is on the left, and my friend’s is the tiny blue bag on the right. I felt like a prima donna.

Oh, and I packed all of these shoes, but I only wore 5 pairs. I basically packed my entire closet. Ha!

This was by far my favorite picture from the weekend. I was standing in front of my friend Ashley, and when I looked up I saw the giant eyeball statue reflected in her lenses, making her look googly-eyed. It was hilarious! I made her take a picture of me, too!

Then I got into a really silly mood, and I decided I would try to make the face of this emoji (). Hmmmmm, not real cute. #fail

I purchased both the dress and shoes from a consignment store in Houston called The Little Bird. I blogged about it over three years ago (here). In that post I said I just needed a place to wear it. Well, it only took me three years! This is also a really good secret to finding a dress that no one else is wearing!
