My everyday makeup routine is minimal and takes approximately 6-7 minutes to apply, maybe less. I used to spend over 30 minutes on my makeup, and I loved every minute of it. Now, I’m all about cutting corners without sacrificing the end result (this is kinda my M.O. these days). I guess that’s why I’m all about dry shampoo and 2-3 day hair. Ha! So here’s my time saving, everyday makeup routine with minimal trade-off.
I start with the same basic makeup products every day, and then I change up the look with a different lipstick and blush. These are the products I use. These products are my favorites because of the ease in which they go on and their lasting quality.
First, I use a cc cream (in light) mixed with a moisturizer (Neutrogena or Supergoop) and apply it like it’s moisturizer- all over and without a care. Then I dab on the under eye concealer (in medium), followed by an all over sweep of powder (in Mont Blanc) and then bronzer for extra color. Next, I apply an eyeshadow (in Bone) all over my eyelids for an overall shimmer. I use a waterproof pencil eyeliner (in Cassis), and then I apply a little brow pencil (Grace K.) to my eyebrows. I am not a big eyebrow person, but I do like slightly filling them in. Then, if I have time, I curl my eyelashes (which happens maybe once a week) and apply my favorite drugstore mascara.
Now it’s time for lipstick and blush. Typically, I use my lipstick as my blush, and I choose based on how I feel that day. Come back on Friday to hear all about this time saving hack and my favorite colors!
