What is LIKEtoKNOW.it?

What the heck? Just when I think I’ve got this tech stuff down, something new appears! One of my personal goals for 2017 is to embrace change. Yes, I can be a big ole stick in the mud. Want to be my friend? Ha! Anyway, I am learning that embracing change is part of life in general, but it’s also a part of technology. Change is inevitable, so I might as well jump on board- specifically with technology. Plus, I’m a blogger, so I’m suppose to be up on technology, right? Let’s face it, usually once I try a new technology, I end up loving it! Hello, iPhone and Instacart!

Alright, so let’s talk about LIKEtoKNOW.it and the new LIKEtoKNOW.it app.

As you may or may not know, LIKEtoKNOW.it is a software that works with Instagram to allow you to shop the products in a photo. If you “like” a certain photo of a blogger, you will get an email (timing at your preference) with the outfit links from that image. This is what the e-mail looks like with the links to purchase at the bottom.

To receive these emails, you have to sign up through LIKEtoKNOW.it. If you’re not already signed up, you can sign up here.

I have people tell me all the time that they are not receiving the emails from their likes. I have determined the most likely reason is in your LIKEtoKNOW.it settings. Make sure your LIKEtoKNOW.it email subscriptions settings are checked to your preferences.

And just when I thought I understood LIKEtoKNOW.it, they added an AMAZING new APP this week -ha! What I love about the new app is that you can shop the picture in an instant! You don’t have to wait for an email!

I had to sit down and learn the new app myself, so I thought I would share my findings with you all.

With the new app,  all you have to do is screenshot the picture to shop it! Screenshot a social media post (on Instagram, Pinterest, and SnapChat), and shopping links instantly appearing in your app’s feed. GENIUS!! You can download the app by going here.

Next, you will need to go into your app settings and make sure “Screenshot Matches” is turned on. This allows you to see the photo and the products in the app’s feed.

 

VOILA! Now anytime you want to shop a picture on any of your social media platforms, just screenshot the picture, open your LIKEtoKNOW.it app, and shop!
