Recently, I was fortunate to go out with my husband two nights in a row! Thank you, Gigi! I knew I wanted to wear my red heels (my jumping off point), which made it super easy to put together the rest of the outfit because I let red lead the way! My mother-in-law made a very good point about this outfit. She said, “You know, those shoes are more orange-red than the other reds in your outfit, but it works!”

The next night, I let red lead the way again because I wanted to wear my red heels! The red top is such a different color than the red shoes, but as my friend Emily said to me in high school, it goes because it’s in the same color family! All that to say, when you’re stumped, pick one color and go with it! It doesn’t matter if the colors match. In fact, if you ask me, not perfectly matching and mixing it up a little keeps thing interesting!
I’m taking a little end of the summer break. I’m also refreshing the site! In the meantime, I’ll be posting to Instagram. I hope everyone is having a great summer!
