“Flamingos On A Booze Cruise” with blue lenses
I have so much good stuff to share with you all this summer but no time to share it! #summerdayz Instead of forcing the issue and getting frustrated with my boys, I’m trying to float (I’m taking this post to heart lately) and enjoy these summer days with my boys (harder on some days than others -ha! It’s like a roller coaster over here). Plus, they are older, so I want to soak it all in. When they were younger, I was just surviving -ha! But if I’m honest, I feel like a race horse at the start line that’s chomping at the bit to go (SHARE/WRITE)!
I love the summer because I see lots of friends and they share lots of great things with me, like today’s find!
If you live in Houston, just click off this post because you probably already know about the most amazing, inexpensive sunglasses ever. And if you don’t, you are about to be the envy of the town (not really, but it sounded good -ha!)
My friends have me completely sold on the Goodr brand of sunglasses. Here’s why:
-They’re $25-$35! (Just the price point I need for summer sunglasses that I know will be thrown in a pool bag and get scratched. Try as I may to be responsible, I get in a rush and throw stuff in bags!)
-They are bright and colorful! (aka so cute and fun!)
-They are polarized! (I couldn’t believe it! Inexpensive glasses aren’t usually polarized.)
-They are comfortable on the head. (I think we’ve already established that I have a big head… anyway, these fit comfortably and are not too loose.)
-They don’t slide down your nose, even when you sweat! (I know, it sounds impossible right? Well, trust me. I did a good four head bangs to see if they moved, and they didn’t. Just ask my friend Natalie. They were originally designed for runners.)
-They look good on a variety of faces! (Male and female… see below. They fit like the Ray-Ban Wayfarers if you ask me.)
In real life (#IRL)…
“Going to Valhalla… Witness!” with chrome lenses
I brought these grey sunglasses for myself, and guess what happened? My husband immediately asked if he could have them. Yup, they’re that good. I bargained with him- he could have them if he posed for a picture, so he grabbed the dog and agreed. Hahahaha! These are the “chrome lens” color.
“You Don’t Look Like Buddy Holly. At All.” with clear lenses
I’ve always wanted glasses. Don’t I look smarter? Ha! Anyway, I just bought these for fun because they were $25 and I wanted to give them a try. Well, I LOVE them! You know how sometimes sunglasses are too dark? These are the answer! I’m surprised how often I wear them beyond dusk. They would be perfect for fisherman who need polarized lenses to see the fish but don’t need dark lenses.
FYI: I purchased my three pairs at Fleet Feet here in Houston. If your favorite color is sold out, use their store locator. All of the sunglasses pictured are the OG (original) version, NOT the BFG version. My friends tell me the BFG’s are bigger on the face.
