If I’ve seen you in the last couple of days, I’ve fought back the deep urge to immediately tell you about my love for a certain book. I’m not kidding when I tell you this is by far my favorite children’s book I’ve ever read! If I’m being honest, I needed the lesson in this book probably more than my boys, but it excites me that, in a world of social media with “likes” and “unfollows”, I can always refer to the lessons in this book!
A reader recommended You are Special by Max Lucado for my boys, and she said she liked it just as much for herself. After reading the description, “In this heartwarming children’s tale…Eli the woodcarver helps Punchinello understand how special he is―no matter what other Wemmicks may think”, I ordered it immediately.
When I read it to my boys, I cried and they did, too. But it’s not sad! We cried because it’s such good news that you feel a great sense of relief in your soul! That is why it’s the perfect Valentine’s gift for your kids (or yourself-ha)! It’s all about LOVE! I will be gifting it to everyone I can from here on out- baby showers, kid’s birthdays, and anywhere it’s appropriate. I can’t thank this reader (@texas_evans) enough! It’s the best! My 9 year old got it as a Baptism gift and all the years later we still love reading. It’s such a great book to give too!
