Handbags can be tricky because they can look really nice online, but when you get them home the leather looks inexpensive, or the zipper doesn’t work very well, or your phone doesn’t fit, or the shoulder strap is too short, etc. You won’t find those kinds of bags in this post! I shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Handbag section with all of these things in mind, so without further ado, I share with you the best bags (in my mind) of the #NSale!
Belt Bag-
I’m digging the simple design of this belt bag. There’s not too much hardware, there’s not a big brand name on it, and it’s sleek and sophisticated. I may be the only one who does this, but sometimes I love to add a belt bag to my outfit to make it look cuter…
Am I right? It’s like adding a black belt to your outfit, but it has the benefit of storage!
Bonus! It fits my phone!
Fanny Pack-
I have a confession to make, I’m kinda obsessed with the idea of wearing a fanny pack as a crossbody…
It’s so cute, right? If you’re not convinced, check out Pinterest for some major inspiration! But, I love this fanny pack worn the normal way, too.
I feel like this fanny pack is big enough that I could carry it as a purse, which is something that most fanny packs/belt bags don’t offer. This bag is really nice leather and the zipper glides easy. The quilting looks high-end, and I like that there’s not a big brand logo on it!
Clutch-
Prepare yourself to fall in love with this next purse…
I know, right?!? It’s darling!!!!! This my kind of bow! Or is it a knot? Ha!
You can carry it as a cross-body…
…I love the pretty gold chain.
Or you can wear it as a clutch!
You can even use it like a wallet!!!
Cutest bag of the sale!
Small Cross-body bags-
I found two great cross-body bags that are really simple and cute:
This box one by Marc Jacobs is really cute. I love the size of it and how it sits on the hip. It’s not too big and bulky. I could see changing out the strap to change the look up a bit.
The leather is really nice quality, too. It comes in 5 DIFFERENT COLORS!
Same goes for this Rebecca Minkoff cross-body…
It has great proportions and sits nicely on the hip, and…
…it’s really nice leather.
Backpack-
I love backpacks because I love being hands free! And when the backpack is this pretty…
…it doesn’t even have the look of a backpack (does that make sense? Ha!). I just mean it’s not like a regular school backpack, it’s like a piece of art!! The zipper on the top makes it really easy to get inside. There’s no flap or buckle to mess with! I love this backpack!
This bag wasn’t in the store, but I saw it online and love it, so I had to include it! I’m always impressed with the quality of rag & bone. Every winter, I end up using some sort of black tote, so I know this would get a lot of wear. And I know that 11” strap drop is long enough for my arm.
