I hope you are having a fun time reading these Nordstrom Anniversary Sale posts! Even if you’re not buying anything and you’ve sworn off the sale, like my aunt (Ha!), it’s fun to see what is being offered this year! And since it’s officially opening day tomorrow, I thought there was no better day to post a whole bunch of my favorites! Specifically, this unbelievably cute jumpsuit!!! (Oh, and I’ve added an #NSale Picks tab to the menu bar, so you can find all the posts and items in one place!)
Jumpsuit-
Jumpsuit- Harper Rose
I’m starting with this jumpsuit because it was such a great moment during our shopping day! I saw this jumpsuit on the hanger and was unsure about it because of the crepe material. I decided to give it a shot anyway. Then, I tried it on, and it looked so good, expensive and chic! I know the fit of jumpsuits can be tricky, so I had my sister who is shorter and curvier (this is a good thing) try it on…
…and it looked amazing on her, too! And it didn’t go up either of our butts in the back (Sorry, TMI? Maybe, but how else am I supposed to tell y’all that really important piece of information?!?)
Jumpsuit- Harper Rose
I absolutely love the neck detail! Plus, I love jumpsuits! I love them because they’re perfect for so many occasions- weddings, work, business casual, dressy casual, and cocktail (with some glitzy accessories)! Plus, I like to have my legs covered sometimes, like when it’s cold or I haven’t shaved. If you’ve never owned one, I think you should try this one! For sizing reference: we are both wearing a 2.
Little black dress-
Dress- Chelsea28
I’m a sucker for a little black dress with fun details, like this one! Especially one that’s a fit and flare.
Dress- Chelsea28
Fit and flare looks so flattering on so many body types!! Not to mention, fit and flare dresses are comfortable, and this one is made of stretchy material!! For sizing reference- I’m wearing an xs.
The Max Mara look alike dress-
Dress- Chelsea28
I feel like I’ve used the word sophisticated a lot in these Nordstrom Anniversary Sale posts, but I cannot think of a more appropriate word to describe this dress. It’s sophisticated, chic, classy, and not to mention, very expensive looking (I swear it looks like a Max Mara dress). It’s made of a stretchy material that is thick but not too thick, and it hugs but not too much. Let’s just say it skims the body and is comfortable. I love all the different ways you could wear this dress- change up the belt, put a blazer on top, put an oxford on under… the options are endless! For sizing reference: I’m wearing a size 2.
Casual Dress-
Dress- BB Dakota
A dress I can wear now with sandals and a fun statement earring!!! I could also wear this in the fall with booties and a chunky cardigan. I love the simple belt on this dress because it gives it a waistline, but it doesn’t take away from the look. For sizing reference: I’m wearing a small, but I’d prefer the xs.
Designer Dress-
Dress- St. John Collection
I tried on quite a few things in the designer section. The Vince sweater was itchy, the sleeveless Tibi top extremely ill fitting (actually most items were), but leave it to St. John Collection to have the winning item in the designer section. This dress fit like a glove, and it felt like I was wearing a barefoot dreams cardigan as a dress. This dress is so versatile and could be worn to practically any event.
Favorite blazer-
Doesn’t my friend look darling in this blazer?!?
Blazer- Halogen
She looked so cute in this blazer, I made her take a selfie and then photobombed it! My friend usually has to get all of her clothes tailored because she’s so petite. But not this blazer!! We were so happy! And it fit me, too…
Blazer- Halogen
It definitely needs to be styled on me like it is on her, but you can see it’s a great blazer for a great price! Plus, I like the idea of having another color blazer to add to my black, white and navy collection. You could wear this blazer over practically any dress, paired with slacks, or dressed down with jeans. For sizing reference: We are both wearing an xxs petite. That size looks great on her. I’d prefer a regular xxs.
Favorite Sweaters-
In the winter, I love a colorful sweater to throw on to chase away the winter blues, and this one…
Sweater- Top Shop
…isn’t itchy! Plus, it doesn’t break the bank! I’ll throw this sweater on with jeans or slacks, and I’ve got myself a great outfit because this sweater is such a statement all by itself. It screams fun and happy! For sizing reference: I’m wearing an xs or US 0-2.
Last year, I went on the hunt for chenille sweaters because I was so tired of suffering from “the itch.” Guess what I found at the NSale?!?!?
Chenille Sweater- BP
A chenille sweater!!! You know I had to have it! It’s soooooo comfy and a great price. In person, the navy color looks like a Rag & Bone sweater. This picture does not to it justice. I also like the white, but they didn’t have it in the store. For sizing reference: This sweater runs small. I’m wearing a small.
The winning black jeans-
Jeans- Article of Society, Sweater- Top Shop
All three of us fell in LOVE with these jeans! They fit extremely well on all of us (except my 5′ 4″ friend had to get them hemmed), but the best part is they feel like leggings!!!! They are so comfortable!!! They remind me of the Madewell Roadtrippers or The Citizen of Humanity Avedon’s, BUT they are a fraction of the price!!!!! For sizing reference: these jeans run tts.
Our favorite blue jeans-
Jeans- Paige, Chenille Sweater- BP
We tried on about every pair of blue jeans that were included in #NSale, and we didn’t have great luck until we got tried on these straight leg blue jeans by Paige. Once again, these jeans were so comfortable and looked great on all of us. I really like the wash on these jeans- the minimal whiskering and dark color make them very flattering. In my experience, Paige is a great fit on so many women, especially if you’ve been blessed with a booty (not me, clearly -ha). For sizing reference: these jeans run tts.
For our favorite dark grey denim, check out this post.
Our favorite black pants-
Pants: Vince Camuto
These black pants were stretchy and comfortable. I like the leg on these pants because it’s clear they are not leggings. I also like that there are no front pockets or belt loops. It makes the pant easier to wear and look good!
Here’s the front:
Pants: Vince Camuto
And how cute does my sister look in them?! Shhhhhh, don’t tell her I put her on here. For sizing reference: These pants run large, we are both wearing the 0P.
Our favorite athleisure pants of the sale-
Pants- Nike
Once again, we tried on a ton of athletic pants, including the workout leggings (which were not my favorite), but these Nike sweatpants looked good on us!!! How can sweatpants be sliming?! I don’t know, but I’m all in!!! I see wearing these on travel days, on errand days, on Sunday’s… wait, on any day!!! Ha!
Now for a dose of IRL (in real life). Remember the pink leggings from the #NSale catalog….
…yup, not my favorite. In the catalog they looked so cute!!!! Hahahaha! Not so much IRL.
There’s so many great, well fitting items in this post! What was your favorite?

I love these NSale posts! Are you going to do an undies post like you have done before? I always stock up during the NSale 🙂
Carly Lee says
Good idea!!! For now, I’ll add them to my “#NSale Picks” tab. I’ll try to do a post.
