If you primarily follow along on the blog, let me just say, you have a big advantage over those who follow along on other medias because you get the REAL BEFORE AND AFTER EXPERIENCE!!! You don’t have to see after first, you get to experience the anticipation (that’s my favorite part!)!

Whoa! This is so fun to share with you guys!!! I remember when Ashley and I were sitting at this table coming up with the concept for this room. I really wanted to paint the dining room black, and Ashley was game! I love that she was open to my ideas!! I showed her this modern/traditional dining room and this Ralph Lauren Dining Room, and if you ask me, this dining room is the perfect combination of both. One of the big lessons for me with this room is that you don’t have to match all your whites in a room! I’m pretty sure I’ve spent way too much time in life getting my whites to match, but now I totally see how the room looks a little more organic and less stuffy when the whites don’t match perfectly.
The real breath of fresh air and what really brings the fun to this dining room is Carlyle Wolfe’s “Green Garden Window” painting! The painting adds such color and vibrancy to the room! Before the painting arrived, we set up a whole bunch of nutcrackers on the sideboard, and this room was transformed into a cozy room for Christmas dinners!
I absolutely love the mix of the traditional table and modern Restoration Hardware dining chairs! In fact, I give Ashley big props because there is a lot of traditional and modern elements that mix so well in this room! I love that the wallpaper is fabric and trimmed with black ribbon! It makes me feel cozy!
Here’s a look from the side yard looking into the dining room. A fantastic shot by the very talented Kerry Kirk!

Carly Lee says
HI! Thanks for the heads up! I forgot to link to them. They are from Restoration Hardware. We added the ribbon to the trim. I’ll add a link to the post.
