I saved the best for last!!!!! I’m so excited to show you this transformation because if you ask me, it’s the best one!!! It’s amazing what paint and wallpaper can do!!

Master Bedroom After:
I absolutely love my dark navy bedroom! I totally understand people shying away form dark walls, but for a place I go to relax, read, watch tv and sleep, a dark room is sooooooo cozy and perfect for a master bedroom. And if plantation shutters are “out,” I don’t want to be “in.” I love the efficiency of them! I can make this room so dark in the middle of the day by just flipping the shutters up, and I can make this room so bright by just pulling the shutters back.
I asked Ashley if we could just get some cool lamps from Target (that’s what I love about Ashley, she’s not afraid to mix high and low), but she told me lamps/lighting is like the jewelry or accessory to an outfit. They’re the stand out piece that adds the “umph” to the room. Well, clearly she was speaking my language and I was totally convinced. So convinced that we went with a lamp I had admired for a long time by Kelly Wearstler, and I’m so glad we splurged!

If you ask me, this is THE BEST TRANSFORMATION!!!!
We didn’t want to tear up tile and put in new countertops.
Are you ready to see the power of paint and wallpaper?!?
Master Bath After:
Whoa!!! Every time I go bold, I absolutely LOVE it! I remember Ashley had a wallpaper book in the back of her suburban, and I thumbed through it for a split second and came across this wallpaper and wanted it immediately!!! We then sampled two others to compare, and both my husband and I loved this one!!!! Once again, my heart sings!!!!
Thanks for making these home posts so fun for me! Thank you for all your kind comments. I learned so much during this process, mainly, to go for what I want regardless if it’s in the magazines or “in style.” I also learned that a lot of the fun is dreaming about what to do with each space and brainstorming with my friend, Ashley, and my sister, Tell It To Your Neighbor. Oh, and every time I went bold in my design choices, those are the places I love most! I hope you all enjoyed these posts, I know I did. I plan to do more home so I hope you did -ha!
I’m taking a break from the blog next week because I’ll be up at my son’s school helping with book fair. Oh, how I love books (and clothes and style and home and food- ha!)!
