Kid’s Gift Guide (For All Ages)

I’m really grateful this year because my mom friends really helped me come up with the most incredible gift guide for kids! There are so many great ideas that would be perfect for anyone, and they’d make great group gifts for all your kids, too! They’re so incredible, in fact, that it’s the first year I have too many gift ideas for my boys! That never happens, and it really has me excited to write this post!! So, to all the “Lionesses,” thank YOU!!!

1. Electric Scooter– I was reminded how great of a gift this electric scooter is last weekend when a couple of my son’s friends came over to our house for a birthday party. This electric scooter was the most popular toy in my garage. One after the other, the kids took turns getting a ride on it. It was that popular!
2. Pogo Stick– We inherited (K, I should have paid you!) a pogo stick from a neighbor. My son LOVES it. He bounces on it all the time.  It’s held up well, as it’s been passed on two times now and been left in the rain more times than I can count. So, you know it’s good quality. This is the exact one. A friend of my boy’s recently came over and asked my if they had heard of the “super boost” pogo stick. Well, that got me curious, so I went researching. And, I found it. There is a pogo stick that you can jump over 10ft in the air!! Check out the awesome video (here). You can adjust it so you don’t actually jump that high because 10 ft. seems very dangerous. I kinda want it for myself. I also found one by the same brand that my son has for older/heavier boys. So, depending on the size of your child and your budget, there’s a pogo stick option that will suit you or your kiddo -ha!
3. Ping Pong Table– My friend (Hi, Maria) has two sons (one in high school, and one in elementary school), and she is getting them a ping pong table. A ping pong table is a great gift idea that family members of all ages will be sure to love!!!
4. Door Pong Game and Ribbon Ninja Game – I’m always looking for games that my boys can play during Christmas break (other than video games). My friend recommended the Door Pong Game (thanks, Shanna!) and said her son and daughter love it. I then came across the Ribbon Ninja Game, and it seems like a really fun game the whole family can play. I’m in! I love to play games with my kids!
5. Hand Controlled Drone (that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg)- My sons love drones, but I am tired of getting frustrated when we loose the drone to a tree, over a neighbors fence, or lose the piece that charges it. They want another one so badly, but I can’t stand to spend a whole bunch of money on something I know is doomed to a fatal end -hahahaha! That’s why this inexpensive, hand controlled drone my friend (hi, Anne!) told me about makes so much sense. Plus, she says my son loves to play with it when he’s at her house. A win for me, a win for him!
6. Kan Jam– Y’all, this is the most fun backyard game you’ll ever play. Our friends (thanks Jenny and Drew) brought this to our place in the country, and we play it every time we are there. Recently, I played it with my 14-year-old nephew who asked if there were Kan Jam tournaments he could enter. I mean, he was pretty good, so I don’t blame him.
7. The 3Doodler– There’s a 3D printer at my kid’s school that I’m totally enthralled by. I find it fascinating, and so do the kids (as evidenced by the steady stream of objects being made by the 3D printer). This 3Doodler gives kids the ability to make their own objects. And if you’re like me and are wondering how they are going to figure out how to make their own objects, I just saw that there is an interactive, step by step app that goes along with the 3Doodler.
8. Wireless Light Up Keyboard– Make gaming and homework more fun with this light up keyboard! It’s a great price point and a fun gift. I linked to a wireless one, but there are wired ones as well. (Thanks, Lisa!)
9. Exploding Kittens and Apples to Apples– I have a son who loves games- video games, board games, card games, backyard games, he loves them all! He recently got Exploding Kittens and loves it. He loves it so much, he made his cousin, my niece, play it with him on a car ride instead of iPads. Now that’s saying something. He’s asked for Apples to Apples for Christmas after playing it at school.
10. Cinema Light Box with Letters– My friend keeps one of these in her mudroom and will add a fun quote or message for the day on it! What a great idea! This would be fun in your kid’s room or any room in your house. It would be so interesting to see what your kids would put on their letter box!
11. Sleeping Bag– My friend’s mom, who has bunk beds at her house, has her grandkids bring sleeping bags, so she doesn’t have to crawl up to the top and change the sheets every time… genius! If you have a kid in your life, no matter who you are (aunt, grandma, god mother), this is a sure bet gift. I kinda want this sleeping bag for myself. How perfect is this for slumber parties?!? Heck, I could see my kids liking this sleeping bag so much that they pull it out when they watch tv.
