I recently shared my everyday makeup routine (here), and I realized very little had changed in the way I’ve done my makeup since high school. I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing, but I thought I could stand to learn some new tricks and update my look a bit. I’m constantly doing this with my clothes, so why not do the same for my makeup?!
That’s when I reached out to my friend and celebrity makeup artist, Tonya Riner, to see if she would help me. Her clients include: Elle McPherson, Kate Upton, Annie Leibovitz, Tamara Mellon, and Tiffani Thiessen, to name a few. I knew I was going to learn A TON and it was going to be really good information! I didn’t want to keep all the information to myself, so I asked her if we could video it for the readers. SHE AGREED!!!!!
I hope you enjoy our video and learn a little bit. I know I sure did! As my son’s so sweetly pointed out, “Mom, you’re clueless!!!” Well, indeed I was. But now, thanks to Tonya, I’m a little smarter. Hahahaha!

THANK YOU! I learned so much from this. Before all the sheltering time, I wore makeup very single day. Not so much right now… What a refreshing way for me to approach makeup in the time of quarantine! Also, I used to do the moisturizer/ cover up trick with my under eye circles in high school, but forgot about it after so many years. How? It is brilliant!
Tonya and Carly- I loved the demonstration of the application techniques. Thank you both!

Thanks for watching, Ginni!! Yes, I’m approaching makeup in a whole new way now during this time, too! I haven’t worn eyeliner since this whole thing started, and it’s so fun and refreshing! Thanks for your comment!
