No Belt????

Sometimes, I feel like an outfit just doesn’t need a belt and that adding one would detract from the outfit. This shirt has a very boho-y feeling to it and I feel like if you put a belt with it, it would have the opposite effect. Now, look at the picture and imagine a belt with it, you see what I’m saying? The shirt is actually very long- it could even be used as a cover up. But, you’d never know it with it tucked in. I love to change the look of shirts in my closet just by tucking them in. Even the ones, like this one, that I wouldn’t normally think to tuck in.

I do have a trick when I tuck in. I like to tuck most of the fluff in the back so the front has less fabric. This way, you’re still showing a waist line and adding less bulk to the front.

Now, let’s be clear, there are certainly days that I do NOT feel like tucking my shirt in! But, this day I was on a day date with my husband (yes, this is getting dressed up to me- ha!). I don’t chase toddlers very well in wedges. I have friends that have perfected it, but I am not that coordinated. After all, I did try out for cheerleading four time in HS and never made the squad!

I kinda really like my new “dress up shoes”, so I wanted to show you! Just in case you’re looking for some :). I’m thinking I will be wearing these with every maxi/sundress in the summer.
