My youngest loves (and I mean demands) to wear a super hero shirt everyday -ha! As the saying goes, you need to pick your battles, and this is not one I’m going to pick. Plus, I like that he has an opinion on what he wants to wear. But, let’s be honest, some of the shirts aren’t the cutest.
When I teamed up with Nordstrom for two toddler clothing posts, I came across these cute Mini Boden shorts, and I thought ding, ding, ding, here’s my answer!
Shirt- Junk Food, Shorts- Mini Boden, Shoes- New Balance
No matter what super hero shirt he has on top, at least his shorts are cute and comfy, and everyone is happy! They come in 3 different colors of stripes, so surely there will be one pair to match each of his shirts. Although, I kinda like the non-match-y look -ha! He’ll be wearing these all summer.

But my oldest will let me dress him up “handsome” (that’s what he calls it). It’s my dream come true -ha! But, I stay practical. Comfy tees and shorts are the name of the game. I love these shorts because they’re not too short and they have an elastic waist, yet still look big boy, no? I’m also loving this tee because it’s not too preppy, but it still looks nice. Plus, when he looks back on these pictures at his wedding rehearsal dinner, he won’t be embarrassed for how I dressed him when he was a little boy -ha!
If you ever want to have a photo session with your kiddos, just tell them to stand on their beds with their shoes on. You would have thought I was giving them 5 gallons of ice cream! They were so excited, and it made for excellent pictures! Bedding- Serena and Lily
