There is one shoe trend that is EVERYWHERE this fall, and it’s the old school, classic TENNIS shoe! Specifically, the Adidas Stan Smith’s and Superstar’s are everywhere. I found mine at Nordstrom, my go-to shoe department. I almost feel silly writing this post because I’m afraid you guys will be thinking, “duh!”, so maybe I’ll take a different approach.

Maybe you’ve looked at this trend and said, “Nope, not for me. I could never wear those.” First, let me say, one does not have to follow trends in order to be cool! However, if you want to follow a trend but feel you can’t, let’s talk about it. When trends come, they come in all forms. If I want to follow a trend but don’t feel comfortable with it, I’ll find a similar look and modify the trend to something that I feel comfortable in. For instance, here are a few of my favorite alternatives, also from Nordstrom, to the Stan Smith’s and Superstars.
On the other hand, I also know that I may not feel completely comfortable in a trend at first, but then I’ll look back and wonder why was I so apprehensive. I’m looking at you Converse… Anyway, all that to say, I’m totally digging this old school, classic tennis shoe trend. I found them at Nordstrom Monday, wore it yesterday (picture below) and in this post (here).
Truth be told, the red sunglasses were given to us for fun because they have the “Twin Peaks” logo on the side. You don’t think anyone noticed do you? HA!
