Here’s how this story goes, I was shopping with a friend last week and fell in love with a bucket bag (I posted it Friday). My friend asked almost immediately if I could wear it as a cross-body (because you know how we love our cross-body bags). Well, I could, but it was a little short. It hit right above my hip. Then the next day, I saw this in my StyleWatch Magazine…
I took a picture of it and texted it to my friend right away with the caption, “I’m totally doing this with my new bucket bag.” She texted back, “I feel a post coming on”. Ha! She knows me well. I’ve been trying this look with my purses that have adjustable straps, and I’m loving it! The girl in the magazine looks waaaay cooler than me, but that won’t stop me!
Plus, I’ll be honest, I’m kinda tired of my cross-bodies hitting my butt when I walk. You know… clunk, clunk, clunk. This also somewhat answers the issue of the strap going right through the middle of the “girls”. The weight is distributed a little differently, if that makes sense.
I also like how close the bag is to me. It’s almost like it’s a fanny pack (a cool chic fanny pack- ha!), and your phone, wallet, and money are right there! You don’t have put your purse on the counter and go digging! Plus, it’s so close I can wear a jacket over my purse with no problem.
I’m telling you guys, there are a lot of advantages to this short cross-body thing, the least of which is how chic it looks. Try it! You may like it as much as I do!
