A Wardrobe Staple on SALE

Nordstrom Mackage Wool Blend Coat with Leather Sleeves

This past weekend I was in California on a couples trip. It was cold there, and I was excited to wear my “splurge” item from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (you can see the post here). The coat was perfect, and I’m so happy with my purchase!

Lou & Grey Fluid TurtleneckAnd guess what else I got to wear?!? Yup, the “shirt to get you through the holidays“! I knew I was going to love this shirt, and just as I thought, it was perfect for the occasion.  Nordstrom Mackage Wool Blend Coat with Leather SleevesWhen I came home and started putzing around on the internet, I found out that this coat is on SALE, so I had to share!

I also found out that Nordstrom is having their Fall Clearance Sale, which is the perfect time to buy staples (like a black coat)! So I thought I would share my favorite black coats that are included in their Fall Clearance Sale!

I know black coats are not something you really want to spend your money on, but they are a necessity. If I went to your closet and you didn’t have one or haven’t purchased a new one since college- I’d put it on your needs list! So why not buy one on SALE???!!!

Here are my picks (all under $270):

The prettiest black trench coat I’ve ever seen (bold statement but true).

I love the military inspired look of this coat. If I owned this coat, I would wear the collar up at all times!

If you are not into the stiffer fabric of wool, this one in black is a great alternative.

You can’t go wrong with a classic long black wool wrap coat.

A classic shaped coat without any extra fabric.

If you are more casual and don’t like a typical long black wool coat, this one is perfect for you.

If you’re not into all the big collars out right now, this coat is perfect for you.

Very pretty! Can you do a post on leather jackets at different price points? I’ve been looking to buy a versatile one. Thanks!

Can you give sizes you are wearing so as to adjust what size to order if we wanted to order. The white essential tshirt from zady says its relaxed, so i’m assuming it’s kind of big. I’m a 6, but not an 8 and sometimes a 4 if the shirt/top is relaxed.
