I have to be honest, I used to be averse to big SALES, but now I’m totally on board. What changed? I used to shop SALES by perusing the sale section and buying whatever was really cute, just because it was on SALE. It may not have fit well or even been in season, but who cares? It’s on SALE! I wasted a lot of money, so I gave up on shopping SALES. But my tune has changed after finding so many really great deals at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I have worn the snot out those purchases. I am now officially a SALE shopper, because I shop SALES smartly. I only buy things that I know I have been wanting or I know I will wear in the coming season. I’ve thought about them (“I think I need a…”), or I’ve been looking at them and wishing they were less expensive. Well, here’s my chance, and this is what I’m buying from the Shopbop SALE:
Here and here are the perfect way to wear animal print in the summer! I was hoping for a summer version of my animal print high tops, and these are it! There are lots of pretty, fun, and colorful espadrilles to choose from. Plus, they are a big trend for the spring/summer!
Truth be told, the light version of this tote is already sold out. I thought I would include it anyway for those of you who are looking for a cognac colored purse. I’ve seen this tote in person on my cousin. It went across her body perfectly, and it was just the right size. I think I’ll order it from another site (not on sale) -ha!
If you haven’t noticed, I’m a huge fan of Pedro Garcia shoes. They are the only heels that are comfortable and don’t give me blisters. That’s pretty amazing and precisely why I want another pair. I already have a similar version of the sandal pictured above, so I think I’ll get this pair. A sale is a great time to buy a pair of Pedro Garcia shoes, because they are a pretty penny.
I take sun protection very seriously (the explanation deserves an entire blog post). I have been eyeing a couple of bathing suits with sleeves. I am in love with this one, because it doesn’t look like a wet suit but more like a bathing suit. This is a great time to buy a swimsuit! You can read about my one piece recommendations (here).
I have these sandals, and I love them! I like that I can wear them casually with the laces pushed down around my ankle, or I can wear them tied up the leg with a maxi for a dressier look. Also, I’m a big fan of K. Jacques. I wear my cognac pair of K. Jacques almost everyday in the summer. The more you wear these sandals, the better they look. They are extremely comfortable, too.
If I didn’t already have a weekender bag, I’d be buying this one.
If you are looking for a grey purse, I’m in love with this roundie. They have a pink one, too! It’s so cute for the spring/summer! I like a lot of the Baggu bags that are on SALE, check them out (here).
Happy (smart) SALE shopping!

Hey, Carly – when you receive and try on the Soludos espadrilles (the platform ones), can you reply here and let me know how they fit? I ordered the same pair from Nordstrom and was so excited about them, only to try them on and feel like I was wearing torture devices on my feet! So painful on the tops of my feet, which seemed so weird. Just curious how you will find them. Thanks!
