High waisted swimsuit bottoms, am I crazy? Yes, maybe a bit, but let me make a case for them and then you can decide for yourself.
First off, for those with long torsos, one pieces can be difficult because of the one piece wedgie, so they typically need two pieces.
Secondly, the high waisted bottom is a really great tankini alternative.
Thirdly, for the gals who want to wear a bikini but don’t always feel comfortable in them in every situation, these high waisted bottoms give them a little more coverage.
Fourthly, if you’re not completely comfortable with your tummy but want to wear a two piece, what about a high waisted swimsuit bottom?
Not sold? Check out this instagram picture…
Yup, @carolyn_mara has you sold doesn’t she? Well, she sold me and my friends. In a matter of days, I had three different friends screenshot this picture and send it to me. She looks da-r-ling. So off I went to give the high waisted swimsuit a spin.
Below are the bottoms that worked for me and my friends. Yes, these have been tried on and tested, but none of us felt like taking awkward swimsuit pictures. I personally like the black bottoms because I can mix and match them with my bikini tops. We all agree that we really like it when our bottoms are mostly covered, if not completely covered our belly buttons, and these all passed the test!

FYI: I had to purchase the Xhiliration pair from Target online. They were completely sold out in the store.
If you have a large chest, below are the tops that I have that actually support and cover. They’re impossible to find, and that’s why there are only three.

All and all, I’m really loving this swimsuit option. It’s not a heavy investment to just buy a bottom to add to your arsenal. Plus, it’s fun to mix and match. There is something so classic about this look. Let @carolyn_mara serve as your style muse. She did us.

Looks killer on you. May I say though this is the kind of thing girls love and their guys hate. My husband and I had this debate awhile back when I showed him one in a store.

Hahaha! That’s probably true… I guess we shall see!
