When I get ready for bed, I like as few steps as possible so I can hurry up and read my Kindle. If I could, I wouldn’t wash my face at all, but I’ve had skin problems since my teenage years (bad acne, really bad). Usually my skin is splotchy with red and dry patches but not since I’ve been using this combination. I’ve been a long time fan of Colleen Rothschild (since this post in 2015). It’s hands down the best face cleanser I’ve ever used, and many of you have told me the same thing. I also love how a little bit goes a long way and the muslin cloth that comes with it, serves as a natural exfoliator. It’s on sale for $10 off! I also love using the same Aveeno lotion I use on my body on my face at night. When I wake up in the morning, I swear my forehead lines look plumper, hydrated, and less significant. Maybe I’m crazy. Anyway, I had to share my easy nighttime ritual, so you guys can share in the benefit of plumper more hydrated wrinkles and lots of Kindle time -ha! Oh, this routine also makes traveling easy. I only take 2, ok 3 including sunblock, beauty products! EASY!

P.S. Thanks for all the sweet comments on my “ A Trip To Maine” post. Quite a few of them made me cry. Lezli said it best.

do you not use the sheer renewal cream anymore? i need a moisturizer but wondering if its worth it to get that…
Carly Lee says
Hey Kacie, I really liked the sheer renewal cream, but my skin is very dry so I needed something really thick. If you don’t have really dry skin, then you will be very happy with it!

What are you reading???Always looking for recommendations!
Carly Lee says
I’m jumping on the Anne Lamott bandwagon and reading “Bird by Bird.” I love it! I’m always looking for recommendations, too! What are you reading?

Add Sommerset and Roses by Leila Meacham to your reading list. Roses hit the top ten on The NY Times bestseller list when it was released. It’s a fabulous saga, ala Gone With the Wind set in Texas. You’ll love it!!!!
Carly Lee says
I just added it both the list! Thank you! Keep sending me more!

Hi! I really enjoy your blog! 😊 I’m a full time teacher and part time skincare consultant with Rodan and Fields. I’m sure you get a lot of offers, but I just wanted to mention our Soothe regimen for redness and dryness is wonderful! We also have so many other great products. I hope you have a great day! 😊
Carly Lee says
Hi Melissa, I have a lot of friends that are Rodan and Fields consultants! I’ll definitely look into the “Soothe” regimen. Thanks for the recommendation!

Carly Lee says
Hey Anna! Yay! You’ll have to let me know how it works for you! My morning routine is just as easy! I splash water on my face and then combine my It Cosmetics CC Cream in Light (http://bit.ly/2sHhM1o) with either my Neutrogena Moisturizer (http://bit.ly/2sHH2o9) or my Everyday Supergoop (http://bit.ly/2rS46jV).
