I ordered this darling top online (in a small), but when I put it on, I was a bit deflated. It was too long in the front and just kinda tented me. I thought I could do a sloppy tuck, but it still felt tent-like. You all know how much I love the sloppy tuck (original post from 5 years ago here). It’s the perfect way to show your waistline without having something cling to your mid-section. But this time, I wanted something a bit different. That’s when I had a genius idea (yes, I just called my own idea genius -ha!).
I’ll tie it in the front! And oh my goodness, guess what? I’m now in love with this top, AND….
…I found a sloppy tuck alternative to use, AND now I can give a new life to half of the shirts in my closet this summer!
I’d say I’m a genius, but I’m not the one who came up with a tie front top -hahahaha! I’m cracking myself up over here. Anyway, now I can’t stop using this trick!

Then I bought a new, cute linen top from the Gap, and guess what I did with it?!?!

I have a prediction to make. I bet I’ll use this trick all summer long, and you may or may not get sick of seeing it -ha!
