I’ve shared a few style tips on Instagram recently that I just had to share on here! Just in case you missed it, you can read them below!

I watched the Oprah show almost every day when I got home from work in my 20’s. I remember she had a fashion expert on who recommended spending money on staple pieces and to purchase trendy pieces from discount stores or at discount prices. This idea stuck with me and has become my style philosophy as well. Although, now I’d like to add the option to RENT trendy pieces (I currently use Rent The Runway).
I love changing things up, following trends, and wearing something new, but sometimes it can feel a little excessive… probably because I love to shop so much (more than the average bear). I rented this dress, and it was fun to have something “new” to wear to dinner with my family on Friday night.

I’ll never forget the first time I saw someone wear a heel with an ankle strap over their black skinny pants. I loved the look so much, I complimented her immediately and couldn’t wait to replicate the look myself! I’ve since replicated the look a number of times, but I’m not really wearing black skinny pants with heels right now. So, when I put these jeans on with these sandals, I tried the look out in a more casual rendition. I love the way it turned out!
P.S. Once again, my high-waisted dark skinny jeans were the perfect jeans for this outfit!

STYLE TIP: I like to wear sleeveless cotton tanks under sweaters, so I have the option to take the sweater off when I get too hot. Which happens a lot. Am I the only one?

I’ve had few questions about how to keep necklaces from tangling. Well, I don’t have all the answers, which is why I bought the Necklet on a whim during a late night scroll (it’s a contraption that is supposed to keep your necklaces from tangling. It was too cumbersome and the magnet on the back pulled out my hair. That’s why I didn’t post it -ha!!)!
But here’s what I KNOW! The dainty chains tangle most. If you use different chain sizes in thickness and different shapes, they don’t tangle as much! You can put one or two dainty chains in the mix with thicker chains and they won’t get as tangled. P.S. Would y’all be interested in a layering tutorial for IGTV?

I had the privilege of hanging out with some really sweet teenage girls during our CO trip. I heard them talking in the back of the car about how they don’t know what their style is- are they athletic, are they…etc.? I couldn’t help but comment! I said, “You don’t have to choose one!”
My style changes all the time depending on my environment! What I wear hiking around Colorado varies greatly from what I wear in Houston vs. what I’d wear on a trip to NYC. If I stuck to one style, I’d miss out on so much fun! I had so much fun wearing colorful shorts and bright sunnies in CO! I guess, in my mind, style is wearing whatever makes you feel best! For me, that’s flattering, well tailored clothing- no matter what it looks like!
A layering tutorial for IGTV would be great! I have a beloved thick gold necklace that was given to me by my MIL. I have been desperately trying to find a way to layer but haven’t had success. I’d really like to be able to wear it more often and I think layering will be the key.
Ok, I’ll do it!!!
Where did you stay in CO? It looks dreamy.
The pictures were taken at Bachelor Gulch Ritz Carlton in Beaver Creek. We didn’t stay there. We just went to dinner. It was beautiful!
