I am working on my country place bit by bit, which is hard for me! I want it all to be done! I remind myself of snotty Veruca from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when she croons, “I want it now!” -ha! But I have to remind myself that firstly, I don’t want to be Veruca (amirite?), and most importantly, the process is fun (if I choose to see it that way) and a lot of times the results are better when you take your time! Plus, there’s value in anticipation– it really works my patience muscle! I think my iPhone and new technology has trained me to get things now, but that’s not really how life works, right? Wow. Who knew I’d have so many deep thoughts about this?!
Now to the good stuff. I worked with Tonya (@sewn) to come up with a window treatment solution for our bunkbed room in Brenham (scroll down to see the before). I showed her all my inspiration pictures on Pinterest, and Tonya figured out the look I was going for without me realizing it! I knew I wanted them to block out the light because we all know, the later your kiddos can sleep, the better for all (including them). Tonya also figured out that I wanted the window treatments to feel cozy! She came up with the perfect solution for these curtains, combining cozy feels and function! The process really was fun!! Now I’m looking for pillows for the beds and a rug. Please send me any and all recommendations! I’m all ears! Y’all are the best designers! Just look at how my blue room turned out thanks to y’all!
Before we added the curtains…
I’m not sure I’ve ever shared the room as it was before…
It was beautiful, but we needed to be able to sleep more people– hence creating a bunkbed room.
