I’ve been wanting to share this dress with you guys, but I can’t seem to get a good picture. Oh, well! This may not be the best picture, but I didn’t want to wait until I was in a pretty location to share. That could take months, and then this dress will be sold out! Anyway, this dress is appropriate for so many occasions, and it’s super comfy. I like it with the belt, without the belt or with a different belt to change things up!

Jackets can add an extra oomph to an outfit, they can add a stylish layer of warmth, they can lend a bit of security (a security blanket, if you will- ha!), and they can define a waistline! Win, win! This jean jacket is one of my favorites because it’s comfortable and the perfect shade of blue!

Here I am in the same clothes again -ha! I have to ignore the thought that says, “I have nothing new on, so I shouldn’t post it.” Thanks to your encouragement, I know I should post it anyway! And here’s the thing, this is how I really dress! I repeat my basics often. I do try to put together new, unique combinations with my basics, and some days it turns out better than others. Btw, I need a creative hashtag for these basic, repeat outfit posts. Any ideas?! I know there’s some creative wordsmiths out there!

I changed into this outfit after having one of those rollercoaster mom mornings. Although I cleaned up bbq sauce from the seatbelt of my new car (anywhere but the seatbelt, amirite?) and dog bile from my kitchen floor (y’all, I gagged. I lit a candle, and I can still smell it.), I found out my son doesn’t have to have eye surgery! And that called for an immediate change into this comfy, cozy outfit! 😀 And guess what?!? I found the most perfect pair of lounge pants to link to for you guys! They come in black, too! I wear lounge pants all the time! They’re perfect for that time of day when it’s too early to wear pajamas.

hi Carly! how’s the quality of the madewell sherbet striped shirt? it looks so cute on fashion bloggers, but the reviews are mostly negative (at least at Nordstrom). People complain that it is so poorly made. I’d love your thoughts! 🙂
Hi! I don’t thing it’s poorly made. The seam that goes down the front is not noticeable and doesn’t smile (pull apart). My only complaint is that it wrinkles, but I expected it to wrinkle given the fabric contents. I’m happy with my purchase. I hope this helps!
