I was chatting with a friend, discussing fall shoes, and she asked what shoes she “needed” for the fall/winter. That got me thinking, what are the main shoe trends for the fall? What would I recommend a client buy for this season? What have I purchased this season? Well, it didn’t take long for me to figure it out -ha! I have five main categories, and depending on your lifestyle, you might need a couple of pairs from one section vs. the other. Or you may find that you already have a pair from four out of the five categories! Regardless, I’m sharing my favorites from each category that I’ve found while shopping at Nordstrom!

1. CASUAL EVERYDAY BOOTIES:

There are fun booties everywhere at Nordstrom! They are all so darling, but I’m drawn to the classic ones.

I like both of these booties because they are classic and don’t have any embellishments that will date them after one season, but I am in love with the first pair! I love the price point, and they are so comfortable! I also like that you can see the ankle, because it’s more flattering. I also like all the colors this bootie comes in! They remind me of this pair from last season that I recommended because everyone looks so good in them.

 

2. SNEAKERS AND ATHLETIC SHOES:

Wow, is the athletic shoe trend here in a big way or what?! Well, you know I’m happy to participate! Whether you like high tops or an athletic sneaker, you can’t go wrong!

3. A HEELED BOOT/BOOTIE: 

A boot to give you height and to dress you up a bit. This is the boot you wear with your dresses to work or church, or that you can wear with jeans when you want to dress up a bit.

4. A HEELED DRESS SHOE: 

This is the shoe that you wear when you are getting dressed up (obviously -ha!)! There is nothing casual about this shoe. These are great for when you need a date night shoe or a work shoe, or sometimes you can combine the two… or you may need a couple from this section-ha!

5. A PRACTICAL, CASUAL, WARM WINTER BOOT:

PHEW! Sorry for the long post, there were too many really great fall shoes to choose from in each category. I wanted to take the time to give you guys my very favorite options from each category.
